We Can Rest

We Can Rest…is a ‘rest-shop’ and sacred space dedicated to exploring the profound power of restorative yoga and intentional rest practices, specifically focusing on releasing racialized stress and trauma from the body. This quarterly rest experience is designed to foster a sense of sovereignty of self, belonging, and affirmation, where participants can authentically engage in the transformative practice of intentional rest. Steph Lindsey of The Black Unicorn Collective will guide you through a series of postures designed to promote deep relaxation, release tension, and cultivate a sense of ease. Through these practices and conversations, we will honor the full spectrum of emotions that emerge from navigating the complexities of our world while fostering resilience and growth. Please bring what props you have at home, but know that the studio will have some as well.

Please only sign up for this offering if you are Black, Indigenous, or a person or color / are considered part of the global majority ("Global majority" is a collective term for non-white people of African, Asian, Latin American, and Arab descent, who constitute approximately 85 percent of the global population). There is one scholarship opportunity available—if you are seeking support with attending this workshop, please reach out to hello@usdenver.com.
